They might not get to display their ability at State level this year because of the Covid-19 virus but two eight year old students from Murrumburrah Public school qualified for the 50m freestyle at State, when they swam at the regional carnival at Albury held earlier this year.

Lola Giddings and Lachlan Martin-Dye swam their hearts out to achieve times of 48.0 and 44.22 seconds, respectively.
Lola and Lachlan were qualified for the regional carnival along with a host of other students from Murrumburrah Public who attended the zone carnival at Cootamundra.
Three of the school's students were awarded with Age Champion medals at Cootamundra, with Sybella Lenehan coming equal first in the 11 years, Evie Giddings coming third in the 11 years and Mackenzie Hambrook coming second in the Junior girls.
