Despite the best efforts of eight golfing tragics to stop the rain last Saturday, Mother Nature decided that the course would benefit more from a good soaking.

As a result no competition golf was played but the course should be in top condition for next weekend’s events.
On Saturday the men will play an Individual Stableford for a club trophy, then on Sunday the South West District Golf Association’s major annual club interaction event will take place at Harden.
The Scott Fuller Shield first round this year will see the Harden Club play host to Temora and Tumut Golf Clubs with a shotgun start scheduled for 10.00 am.
Mid-week golf
A recent addition to the ranks of mid-week golfers scored his maiden mid week victory last week.
Dan McGrath’s 32 points were compiled off a 13 handicap and he has now graduated to ‘A’ grade with his new handicap of five.
Next best scores were 30 points by Ron Kerr and the 26 points by Peter Orr and Grahame Taylor.
For varying reasons (maybe because of age) the number of mid-week golfers has steadily declined over the last couple of years. This is a great little competition where the handicapping system ensures that each player will have a win at some stage.
Any member regardless of age or ability is welcome to enjoy a few hours of fun and fresh air on Wednesday or Friday mornings commencing at 8 am.
