Jeanette Elliott only managed to play in the Saturday events due to work and family commitments, yet has shot the best round of the whole three day event.
Jeanette recorded an 80 off the stick for a 70 nett to win the Iris Shepherd Champion of Champions and Saturday best score along with the best score over both individual days.
This is quite an amazing feat against such a strong field and around a tough little golf course that weaves its way around the Murrumbidgee River.
Well done Jeanette and good luck with all that silver polishing.

WITH the weather warming up, so too are the scores recorded by players in this midweek 12 hole, 24 point stableford format.
Shooting a round eight shots better than his mildly inflated midweek handicap, Peter Steinke has recorded 32 points to claim the win this last week.
Peter now loses all of those eight shots and will resume transmission from a handicap of four next week.
Garth Webb is warming in form and he was a mere one shot back of Peter recording 31 stableford points but not doing any damage to his handicap - at this stage.
Two shots back was our ladies midweek specialist June Spencer who had a lovely round six shots better than her handicap for 30 points, whilst Billy Kildea and Graham Taylor both recorded five better than their handicap on 29 points.

GET your teams ready because the summer golf competition is only one month away.
You will need a team of eight bearing in mind that only the best six score in week to week play, but the fun of whipping around for a quick nine holes with mates, is just great fun. Nomination sheets are at the bar.
