The junior soccer season is fast approaching, and the Harden Soccer Club committee would like to remind players and parents that registrations are well underway. This seasons competition commences on May 6, and the club would like to wrap up regos by the end of March, in order to nominate teams in the South West Slopes competition. As usual, the club will be catering for all ages between 5 years and 16 years old. To assist those needing help with registration, the club will be holding a registration and information afternoon. Committee members will be at The Roberts Park clubhouse between 4 and 5 pm on Tuesday March 28.

The South West Slopes Soccer Association competition continues without the Tumut club this season, which brings a few challenges, but also some benefits. This season will be shorter, with the competition finishing by the end of August. Also new to SWSSA is the appointment of their own Development Officer, whose role is to deliver education and assistance to all coaches across the SWSSA, and encourage player participation and development .
The younger age groups will see some minor changes to their competition this year, as the SWSSA introduces the Mini-roos format. This slightly modified concept focuses on participation and inclusion, particularly for the youngest age groups.
For more information on the 2017 season, mini-roos, or registrations, please contact Greg Brown on 0408 229 450, Allison Manwaring on 0429 193 453, come along the registration afternoon, and keep an eye on the Harden Soccer Club facebook page.
