After this week’s matches were played in the Cootamundra Ex Services Maestro singles, we have just the one player, Tony Zervos, left in the competition. Results from last week are: Tony Zervos d Charlie Willis (Coota Ex Serv) 31-17; Tony Fisher lost to Jim Deacon Coota Ex Serv) with a score of 20 to 31; Shane McKellar lost to Roy Cleveland (C.C.C) with a score of 30 to 31. Tony Zervos will now play Geoff Hillier (Coota Ex Serv) in the semi final on Thursday, February 23.
Mufti bowls Sunday
Rod James and Warwick Prosser defeated Craig Cooper and Dick Walsh with a score of 19 to 10. Craig and Dick won the chooks.
Number 7 Pennants
Bowlers selected in the Number 7 Pennants are advised that there have been a couple of changes to the teams to play Stockinbingal at Harden on Sunday, March 5. There are no changes to the Number 4 teams to play Boorowa Ex Services. Please check the noticeboard.

Spackie’s Septics defeated Heywood Racing 22 to 6; Jaks defeated H.R.C Girls 19 to 2; Outdoor Store defeated H.K.C Boys 11 to 8; Bowling Club defeated Fuel Supplies 11 to 6; Sweet n Sour defeated Better than Sax 16 to 3; Panthers defeated T.M.G 11 to 6; Fuller’s Taxi defeated 000s 18 to 7.
With just three weeks to go in the competition, Spackie’s Septics hold a four-point lead over Jaks. Minor Singles matches
Maurice Muller defeated Carey Peters - 31 to 27
Maurice got away to a great start to lead Carey by 10 shots after only seven ends. Carey was able to get within five shots of Maurice after 18 ends at 21 to 16. The next eight ends saw Maurice leading Carey 30 to 21, needing just one shot to win. Maurice started to get the staggers over the next two ends, when Carey got to within four shots of Maurice with one end to play, when he picked up six shots. Maurice was able to hang on and win when he scored the final shot required.
Shane McKellar defeated Tony Zervos - 31 to 20
A very good game of bowls played by these two. There was not a lot separating the pair until well into the game when Shane started to get away from Tony. Tony tried hard, but Shane had too big an advantage and went on to a comfortable win.
Major Singles
Chris Hocking defeated Barney Heywood 31 to 18
Chris was always in control of the match after getting away to a great start early on in the game. Barney was playing catch-up throughout the whole match and Chris went on to a comfortable win.
