The Harden Hawks made light work of it’s opposition on Saturday winning their round seven 2016 George Tooke Shield clash against Australian Defence Force Academy 42-14.

Playing before a healthy size crowd at McLean Oval, the Hawks had an even contribution of effort across the board.
They remain undefeated so far this season having strung together six wins from six starts and have now moved to the top of the table on 14 points.
Skipper Luke Brown, Riley Manwaring and Rhett Foreman continued their good form scoring a pair of tries each, while Matthew McLay and Josh Quinn also crossed the paint. Andrew Jones had his kicking boots on to make five conversions.
It was a terrific day for Harden with the Hawkettes also having a ton of fun playing two games against their ADFA counterparts. The Harden girls claimed the first match 48-6, and won the second match 50-10.
Harden’s under 18 team travelled to Gungahlin to do battle with the young Bulls outfit and the game ended in a 18-all draw.
In other George Tooke Shield round seven senior results, Boomanulla 16 defeated Gunning 8 and North Canberra Bears 48 were too strong for Braidwood 0. Boomanulla 16 had the better of Gunning 8 in the other League Tag match
Harden are at home again on Saturday, where they will play host to Crookwell in all three grades. The Youth League game begins at 1pm, the ladies League Tag game kicks off at 2.15pm and the seniors get underway at 3.15pm.
News wasn’t so good over at Binalong on Saturday with the Brahmans suffering a heavy 58-22, round six Woodbridge Cup defeat at the hands of the Canowindra Tigers.
Earlier in the afternoon, the Tigerettes won a close match 12-10 against Binalong’s Jersey Girls.
Looking forward to the weekend and things don’t get any easier in round seven for the Binalong. Ben Spencer and co make the road trip to Berryman Oval, Trundle, where the Brahmans are away to the second placed Boomers in their own backyard.
