Another brilliant Monday morning with blue skies everywhere. Perhaps it would be better if there were some rain clouds on the horizon.

Wasn't Friday a shocker? Hopefully there won't be too many more days of that sort of wind and heat this summer.
I cannot believe that once I used to sunbake in that sort of heat. How stupid can you be? Of course in my younger days we had no idea of the consequences.
Binalong was a real party town at the weekend with several birthdays being celebrated.
Di Hopkirk enjoyed the company of family and friends to observe her special day, likewise Luke McGeachie when he and friends and family revelled in the festivities of his 21st birthday and Leonie Hunter who joyfully commemorated her 80th year.
Her daughter Paris and granddaughter Jessica organised an afternoon tea for her at the hotel (and availed themselves of Julie's delicious food) and I have never seen a party scene so beautifully decorated.
Yvonne Whitechurch also played a large part in the preparations with a most unusual and beautiful birthday cake. Many friends travelled for the occasion and it was a most enjoyable afternoon.
Some guests attended a brunch at the Hotel on Sunday morning.
Member for Goulburn Prue Goward was in town on Saturday for private interviews and questions.
Quite a few art lovers travelled to Jugiong over the weekend to attend the art show, with some engaging the services of Paddo's bus on Friday night to enable them to attend the cocktail party opening of the event. I heard there were some magnificent paintings by local artists.
Members of the local Red Cross branch with their guests held their annual Christmas lunch in Dutchy's (Julie's) kitchen last Wednesday. As always, the size of the meals bluffed some of them and as always, were absolutely delicious.
So many Christmas parties on the agenda.
My neighbours, Wilma and Dennis Toogood, have moved to another home in the village.
Owner Barbara Downey paid them a great compliment when she said she had never seen a house left in such a perfect condition.
Of course, knowing them, no one would be the least surprised. I think they manicured the yard with a pair of scissors.
Barbara intends to sell the old house as a "renovator's dream."
What a good series the ABC’s A Beautiful Lie could have been if the (what I consider) gratuitous sex scenes had been left to the imagination.
No doubt, in part, it was meant to emphasise mental health issues but the sex scenes were very much over emphasised.
The horrible weather conditions again on Friday night pretty much ensured that there would be very few bowlers or golfers out and about.
Six bowlers turned up and played triples and after a draw, Mick Dal Santo, Brian Queripel and Phillip Walsh won the toss for victory. It appears bowls has attracted one new member.
Frank Nagy who has retired here from Canberra was a welcome addition to the game and to the club at the weekend. Unfortunately he is not a golfer but as a bowler he is very welcome.
The jackpot bowls next Sunday will be worth $240.
The annual club fees are now due to be paid.
The chicken run winners were Chris Glover, nett, John Lee runner up and Paul Glover, putts.
