Team captains dropped into Trinity Catholic Primary School in Murrumburrah on Thursday, October 8 to pay up and register online, via the competition’s sporting pulse internet site, which processes the registrations and insurance for each player.
The committee consisting of Ged Davis President), Maryanne Fitzgerald (Secretary), Amanda Chesworth (Treasurer) and Julie Doolan (General Committee Member) were run off their feet throughout the night rushing to get just about all the teams registered for the upcoming season which starts on Thursday, October 15.
As can be imagined there was a lot of energy in the room as team captains made several phone calls to their teammates, seeking any extra details that the online registration required.
With teams from all over the region, including Binalong and Jugiong, the largely social competition, is expected to once again be a big draw-card for the twin towns on Thursday nights throughout the summer period.
The season runs from October right through until the end of March next year just before Easter.
Association President, Ged Davis said that once again the competition will be divided into two categories before Christmas with approximately five or six A and B grade sides playing against each other and then a final grading will occur during the Christmas break.
The same applies where teams in grades C to E will get a look at each other once or twice before Santa arrives and then a new fixture will come out for the second half of the season which will be matched according to how each side performed in the first half of the competition.
