With crowds of up to 500 people at Roberts Park in Murrumburrah every Thursday evening throughout the warmer months, touch football is clearly the most popular sport in Harden Murrumburrah for a number of reasons including the fitness as well as the social side of it.
This year there will be five grades from A through to E and each side may register 14 players with seven taking the field at any one time (six in A grade).
Only children who have turned nine and over by December 31 this year are permitted to play and all grades except A, need to have two of either, a girl, a junior or a 55 year old on at any one time in the game.
Early bird nominations come at a cost of $500 per team which increases to $600 for those that come in after October 8.
Forms are available from Cooper’s Choice Cut Butchery in Harden and the Lighthorse Hotel in Murrumburrah.
There is a compulsory meeting for captains on Thursday, October 8 at Trinity Catholic Primary School in Murrumburrah at which all the team nominations, money and online registrations are processed.
Teams have up until round two to be fully financial before they are affected.
