The Brahmans who were kings of the past two seasons of George Tooke Shield changed over to Woodbridge Cup this year and still took out the premiership to make it three on the trot for them.
The Jersey Girls had a wonderful season making the grand final against Eugowra, but they were pipped on the big day by the Golden Eagles.
The Calves made a preliminary final by a solitary point (26-27) after leading that match against Eugowra for the large majority of the contest.
Outgoing club president Michael Brayshaw and his wife Madaline were both paid the ultimate compliment on the night by being awarded life to the club.
The Brayshaws had been indicating for some time that they did not want to leave the Brahmans, but wanted to step back from their leadership roles and see some new blood step in and lead the Brahmans in 2016.
Michael who also won the senior club person of the year, has held an executive role at the club for the past 9 years took the time to explain to the audience he and his wife’s decision.
"Madeline and I still have a young family and it would be really nice to be able to spend more time with them now".
Senior Vice President of the Brahmans Leon Arabin, heaped praise on the Brayshaws and the Club gave both official plaques conferring life membership upon them.
Upon accepting his award, a humble Mr Brayshaw downplayed the couple’s achievements.
"Its not all about Madeline and me, we are only two cogs turning in a very large machine, its our volunteers and the rest of the committee which represent the Brahmans." he said.
Madaline also took to the microphone and expressed her thoughts.
"We have both thoroughly enjoyed these past years, Michael has come home late at night half frozen after mowing and marking the ground the night before a game and asked me does anyone know what happened to the bag with our club footballs after last week's game? Gee it would be nice to have him home more often!" she said.
There was a minute long standing ovation for the pair from an emotional crowd and the couple also found it hard to fight back tears.
In further emotional scenes at the Binalong Golf Club triple premiership captain-coach Chris Rawlinson's announced that he would be leaving the Binalong Brahmans after leading them to perhaps their most successful era’s.
Brahmans head-trainer Cookie Chatfield, an excellent trainer who is well known identity in country football circles addressed the crowd in almost dead silence.
On a couple of occasions he choked-up when he discussed that it was the end of an era. He found it difficult to speak, but eventually regaining his composure and praised the efforts of both Tony Worthy and Chris Rawlinson, who have led the club superbly on the park again in 2015.
"When I was offered the job here as trainer, I jumped at it because I knew what wonderful opportunities the Brahmans Club would offer players," said Chatfield.
The trainer is highly regarded within the Brahmans camp and club devotee Richard Glover had the following to say about his good friend.
“Cookie is a very tough and uncompromising trainer, often almost to the point of being cruel. He loves the club so much and I have never seen him in such an emotional state, he was very upset at the end of this era in Binalong football”, said Glover.
