The Hawkettes can’t wait for this Saturday’s Grand Final against Bungendore according to co-coach and club president Jason Pollard.
“We are really looking forward to going across there and hopefully coming back home with a win,” he said.
The Harden ladies finished the Women’s League Tag season on top of the ladder after a sensational year in which they have only lost two games.
Most importantly though they have defeated the Tigerettes on the last two occasions and after watching Bungendore dismantle Crookwell at McLean Oval on Saturday, the Harden mentor believes his team will be ready for what comes their way.
“We have a lot of respect for the opposition and we know that it will be a tough game, but we have worked really hard to get where we are and if we take our chances and defend well, then we will give ourselves every chance of winning the premiership,” Mr Pollard said.
Harden will be without the services of the talented Georgie Butt who has headed over to the United Kingdom. She will be a keen observer, getting regular updates via social media.
Other than the omission of Butt, the girls in maroon will head into the match at full strength and they will have a final training session on Wednesday afternoon to which all supporters are welcome to come and watch the girls go through their paces.
The club is also running a 61 seat bus for any Hawks, sponsors, supporters, partners and parents wishing to attend the Grand Final.
The bus costs $15.00 per head and departs the Harden Country Club at 9.30am for Saturday’s match which starts at 12.45pm.
Bookings are essential and are needed ASAP so to book a spot contact Jodie Pollard on 0448132232 or inbox the Harden Hawks facebook page.
Later in the afternoon or evening the girls will return home to the Harden Country Club for drinks to which all supporters are invited.
Go Hawkettes! We know that you will do us proud.
