Staff and students at Murrumburrah Public School are really looking forward to celebrating the upcoming Education Week which runs next week from the 27th until the 31st July.

An excited school principal Clare Crawford, said that,
“Preparations for the week-long event are well underway and that people can expect to see open classrooms, a book fair, local heroes, sports, as well as creative arts which will ensure a busy time for all.”
“The main highlight of the week will be on the night of Wednesday 29th July with our Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) performance where we combine with the Murrumburrah High School as well as Jugiong Public School for a stage production” said Mrs Crawford.
Celebrating local heroes in the community is the theme for this year’s education week and on Tuesday 28th July, students are asked to come to school dressed as a local hero of their choice at which parents are invited to come to the school during recess to be involved.
The Trent Barrett Shield will take place on Wednesday 29th July at Roberts Park, Murrumburrah for all year 3 and 4 Rugby League and League Tag enthusiasts.
Later in the week on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st of July, a number of students from the school will head to Griffith for a couple of days, where they will represent the school in the Kids Rapped On Performing (KROP) Dance Festival.
Also on the evening of Thursday 30th July at 6.00pm, there will be an information evening for parents of students who are going into kindergarten for the 2016 school year.
In other news, today the school’s year one students are travelling to the Canberra Theatre in what promises to be an excellent excursion, whilst Mitch Brown has recently done himself and the school proud by representing the riverina in touch football.
