Council traffic committee and RMS (Roads & Maritime Services ) don’t get to see these huge vehicles struggle to pass through these so called safety measures.
All they do is cause accidents and I can recall at least four in the past few years that have made contact with these barriers. I’m led to believe a close relative of an employee of this council was a victim of signs protruding onto the roadway.
Nothing has been mentioned of reducing the speed limit through Harden-Murrumburrah to 50kms, like other towns have. Harden and Binalong are just two I can think of that are still 60kms.
I also witnessed a heavy vehicle carrying huge mining equipment on it’s way to West Wyalong, which took over an hour to negotiate the roundabout at Wallendbeen a couple of years ago. Please put a little more thought into what you’re planning.
