High School
Fantastic to see Murrumburrah high school offering students the opportunity to try golf for sport and exercise.
With the increasing age of our current crop of golfers these youngsters should be encouraged as their participation is important for the future.
Any donations of no longer used equipment in reasonable condition will go a long way to providing such encouragement.
Midweek competition
Twenty nine rounds were played in last week’s 12 hole stroke competition.
Bill Kildea benefitted from the experience gained on the recent trip to the South Coast to shoot a 38 nett and claim the weekly winner’s cheque. Runner-up to Bill was Val Kerrison with a 39 nett followed two strokes further back by Jim Wright and Peter Steinke.
