In the middle of a rainy rush hour early on Monday, the bus hired by Mr Dutton's team to ferry media around became wedged on a median strip on Pitt St.
Bystanders on their morning commute watched in bewilderment as journalists recorded the action on their phones.
Mr Dutton's team and the travelling press pack attempted to assist the bus driver to un-wedge the bus wheel, while the vehicle blocked traffic on the one-lane road.
Eventually, after over half an hour, the bus driver managed to free the wheel from the road with loud clapping heard across the street.

The campaign bus promptly sped off to the airport, with plans for Mr Dutton to visit every state and territory (except the ACT) in the run-up to the election.
