Ukrainian military drones have attacked the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant but caused no damage to its critical infrastructure, Russian state-run RIA news agency has quoted the press service of the Russian-controlled facility as saying.

In the past, both sides in the two-year-old conflict have accused each other of shelling the plant, none of whose six reactors are operating.
"Recently, Ukrainian forces' combat drones have been flying in the area of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. In particular, arrivals were recorded today in the area of the cargo port and nitrogen-oxygen station No. 2 of the Zaporizhzhia NPP," RIA quoted the press service as saying.
There was no immediate public comment on the Russian allegations from Ukraine.
Separately an air alert was issued in the Ukraine-controlled part of Zaporizhzhia region on Friday afternoon.
Regional governor Ivan Fedorov said a Russian air attack killed two people and injured six more.
A nine-year old boy was among the injured, Fedorov added on the Telegram messenger.
It was unclear what was hit but an image posted by the governor showed a cafe with shattered windows.
The six reactors at the Zaporizhzhia plant, held by Russia and located close to the front line of the war in Ukraine, are not in operation but the plant relies on external power to keep its nuclear material cool and prevent a catastrophic accident.
Russia's defence ministry said on Friday that Russian forces had taken control of the settlement of Vodyane in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region.
Reuters could not independently verify the ministry's statement, the latest of several claimed advances by Russian forces since they took nearby Avdiivka in February after months of fighting.
Earlier on Friday Russia's state-run RIA news agency cited an official as saying Russian troops had entered the suburbs of Chasiv Yar, further north near Bakhmut.
The Ukrainian military acknowledged the battlefield situation near Chasiv Yar was tense but denied Russian advances in the town.
