Vineyards, beaches and luxury lodges come to mind when one thinks of WA's Margaret River wine region. But a wellness sanctuary? Well, now you can add that to the list, too, thanks to the launch of Bodhi Spa in Yallingup.

Located on the banks of Lake Gunyulgup, the spa features state-of-the-art wellness facilities - infrared sauna, hydrotherapy baths, six treatment rooms and a water-facing meditation studio.

There's no accommodation on site but Smiths Beach Resort is just a five-minute drive away. Check into a one-bedroom "beach shack" with a fully equipped kitchen and private courtyard or book an ocean-view villa for uninterrupted water views.

When hunger pangs strike, grab a table at the lakeside Little Fish restaurant, where delicious courses range from grilled calamari in white wine sauce to Tasmanian salmon with capers.

My all-time favourite destination is ... New York. You can drop a pin anywhere in Manhattan and start walking in any direction, and the sights and sounds of the city that never stops will begin to stimulate all your senses in an instant.
Next on my bucket list is … Scandinavia - at the peak of summer, when the sun almost never sets.
My top travel tip is … If you’re flying to Sydney from anywhere in the world, pick a window seat far from the wing on the left-hand-side of the aeroplane. If the weather gods and flight path align, you’ll have the most incredible views of the Sydney Harbour and Opera House.
