Just some of the comments over the supper table were "masterful musicianship", "hypnotic and exciting at the same time", "uplifting, so beautiful".
And all with the background of the sweetest music of all - rain!
These performers Tibetan singer-songwriter Tenzin Choegyal and Japanese musicians Taro Terahara and Ayako Ikeda phoned Art's Council President Nichole Scott and offered to play in Harden as part of their three state tour.
Here's hoping that we can attract more entertainment of this calibre.
Tibetan singer-songwriter Tenzin Choegyal passion is evident in his music, which draws strongly on his nomadic roots, and his tireless efforts to preserve the traditions of Tibet.
Likewise, Japanese musicians Taro Terahara and Ayako Ikeda became interested in the traditions of Indian classical music and now dream of bringing the beauty and evocative sounds of the bansuri (classical Indian flute) and the tabla to parts of the world that have yet to hear them.
Drawing on such rich musical traditions these artists came together for a brief visit to Harden to share the music and stories of these ancient cultures.
Tenzin Choegyal is one of a handful of artists keeping Tibet's music alive in the freedom of exile.
He is is a master of traditional Tibetan instruments.
