Not happy with his third Harden Golf Club Matchplay in recent weeks, nor to just rest on his laurels through to Christmas, Herby Manwaring is out there and at it again winning this week's men's golf in electrifying form.

Maurice Manwaring has played a round that was superb in scoring to again shoot lower than his age with an 83 for 43 Stableford points. This round is a whopping seven shots better than Herby's handicap of 19 and he was grinning like a split watermelon from the moment he hit the Club House.
On a great day of early spring weather, and with a fast running track, the crew played for a trophy put on by long-term sponsors, The Harden Tyre Service.

In the runner-up slot and also with a very tidy round of 41 points or five better than his handicap, Robert Bates has had a great day out on course.
The best Robert could do was a bow to the silver fox and take the lead off in the ball competition.
Balls went to 38 points (two better than handicap) such were the great conditions for scoring.
Eric Kuhn took a ball with 38, as did Tam Kennedy who knocked a stunning birdie in on the 18th to gain bragging rights in his group.
Ron Kerr was nearest the pin on the Bendigo Bank Hole in One Hole and claimed the ball for a shot into 2.0 metres.
Midweek Golf
As is normal either side of our Australian two Man Ambrose and course coring of the greens, numbers were too light to call it a competition.
I am confident with rising temperatures, we should see a full contingent back on the links this week for an enjoyable round of golf.
This Week
The Labour Day long weekend will no doubt see some keen golfers itching to get on course.
A club trophy Stableford will be played on Saturday for all comers.
See you somewhere about the course.
