A brisk cold front swept into the region on Friday and hung around until Sunday evening bringing snowfalls to high areas across the Central Tablelands.
With dozens of sporting games cancelled and roads closed, many families took the opportunity to get out and play in the snow.

By Sunday evening an alpine alert was still in place for the Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow, while roads to Jenolan Caves were closed along with roads around Oberon.
Orange shivered through two of its coldest days on record during the weekend.
Group 10 games in Oberon and Orange were cancelled as a result of road closures and chair Linore Zamparini was hopeful the games likely to have a direct impact on the finals would be replayed mid-week.
Snow is predicted to continue until around 10pm on Sunday in areas Lithgow and Jenolan Caves.
