Last year's event was the largest to date in size and visitor numbers with 8,132 attendees, double the previous year.
While these numbers may have caused Harden's first ever traffic jam, it is reassuring to know that Hilltops Council will be providing traffic management in 2019.
Alternate entry and exit points will be available, with professional traffic controllers directing traffic in and out of the festival.
This years' theme is Kites - Canola - Country. With this theming, the committee wants to draw visitor's eyes not only to the colourful big kites in the sky but also to our surrounds; our gorgeous broad acre farming district. Therefore, a number of activities are being planned around canola.
Market stall applications are now open and available at hardenkitefestival.org.
Save the date - Harden Kite Festival will be held on Saturday, October 12, from 10am to 5pm.
