When Joseph Roberts travelled to New Zealand last year to participate in the Anzac Day commemorations on the beach at Kaikoura he never dreamed a photo from the day would end up on a stamp over the ditch, however that is exactly what has happened.

Joseph's involvement in the 7th Light Horse Gundagai Troop has seen him travel the world from Europe to New Zealand.
His journey with the group began when he met the late Luke Dowell, a farrier and passionate member of the troop. Despite Joseph's tender years, he was barely a teenager, Luke took him under his wing and allowed his exceptional horsemanship and love of Australian history to shine.
The 7th Light Horse has been a perfect fit for Joseph, now 17-years-old, and when the opportunity came up to carry the Australian flag in New Zealand he was honoured.
"There was talk between the two troops (from Australia and New Zealand) and having Australia represent over there," Joseph said.
He recalls the magical setting of the service held in the coastal town.
"There was the beach, sand, green hills and snow all within sight," Joseph said.
"It was definitely a special place," he added.
Hearing news a stamp collection would be created with images from the day brought fond memories flooding back for Joseph.
The photo featuring Joseph was taken just after the Dawn Service and is now available to purchase in New Zealand.
An enlarged version of the same photo forms the background to the official stamp collection folder.
Through the 7th Light Horse, Joseph said he has made lifelong friends and lifelong memories.
He was part of the Centennial Gun Project in France together with other members of the troop.
With just a handful of active members, the troop is as active as they can be keeping the spirit of the Light Horse alive and well.
