But there was plenty of support for the first-timers, as the students were supported around the course, laid on at the Harden-Murrumburrah Showground, by other children and staff.
According to staff, the school is well-known for its values of respect, responsibility and empathy and all of these attributes were demonstrated to a high degree by both students and staff throughout the event, held last week.
The lengths teachers, support staff and students went to in demonstrating "the care and inclusiveness within the school community are testament to what a great school Murrumburrah Public School is to be a part of", the staff said.
