The 2019 Pennant Bowls kicked off last weekend and it was mixed luck for the club, with the Number 4 team going down to the very strong Young Number 3 team.

Club Singles
The results of the Club Singles matches played on Saturday were:
Matt Peisley defeated Tom Apps 31 to 22.
A great game up until the 27th end, where Matt led 23 to 22 and both players were in great form. However, over the next four ends, Tom got the staggers, allowing Matt to go on to a comfortable win.
Warwick Prosser defeated Shane McKellar 31 to 5.
A bit of a shock, this one. Not so much the result, but the margin. Warwick was in great form and has been for some time, and was much too good for Shane, who is a better bowler than the result would indicate.
Kyle Murray defeated Barney Heywood 31 to 7.
Kyle was right on his game and cleaned Barney up. Barney tried hard, but could never get in the match.
John Brownhill defeated Cary Peters 31 to 30.
A great game with both bowlers in top form right throughout the match. Cary held the lead 30 to 29 and looked as though he would get over the line, but it was not meant to be. John picked up two shots to nail Cary on the line.
