We have only won it a few times in the last 20 years but two of these have been in the last five years with several other second places.
This year in a very strong pool of Tumut and Cootamundra we have had strong showings and great scoring in all three events this summer, to claim the shield once more.
RESULTS
- Harden: 46.75, 44.5, 47.5, 138.75.
- Cootmundra: 44.85, 44.946, 46.583, 136.084.
- Tumut: 39.88, 41, 39.2, 119.
Harden ran out winners by almost 1.75 shots on the score averaging system after three rounds by close to 120 golfers between the three clubs in Pool A.
While the mathematics is somewhat complex, across the three rounds Harden picked up close to 12 extra stableford points on its competitors. That is not a large margin, but very rewarding.

IN THE daily results at Cootamundra, our secret weapons of Ash Hall and Matt Minehan have gone huge. The boys have recorded the best score of the day around the notoriously hard course- 52 points or a combined 16 points better than par between them is a great day on the greens and they picked up the club major prize on the day.
Second prize went to perennial four ballers Tom Poole and Craig Henman who were only six points back from the winners, knocking out 46.
Ball comp: A Hall & M Minehan (52), T Poole & C Henman (46), C Hocking & N Hawkins (45), B Johnson & D Kemp (44), N Schofield & A Jones (44), J Brownhill & M Piesley (42), and K Hoppe & R Page (42).

IT GOES to show you, one cannot pick form every week in golf. Billy Kildea has jumped out of the box and streeted the field last week. He has shown a clean set of heels to pick up the lollies by four whole shots from his good mate and usual playing partner, David James.
Kildea shot five better than his handicap with 29 on the 12 hole par 24 layout used by midweekers. He will commence duties this week five shots lighter of handicap, on 12.5.
