Despite the wet and windy conditions last weekend at Gundagai and Howlong, the Zone 8 Pennant play-offs were run and won. At Gundagai, our Number 7 Pennant team put up a good fight before going down to Yerong Creek. They won one of the three rinks, but found Yerong too good on the day.

Warren Chesworth, Brian Gibson, John Balcomb and Cary Peters defeated D.Lloyd, B.Graetz, J.Willis and J. Taylor 22 to 11.
John Curtis, David Walker, Reuben Rycroft and Tony Zervos lost to T.Flynn, M.Jolly, J.Kingston and L.Terlich 8 to 27.
Alan Tobin, Danny Vincent, Barney Heywood and Dick Walsh lost to S.Flores, C.Hagen, M.Ingram and I.Willis 15 to 25. Aggregate: Harden 45; Yerong Creek 63.
At Howlong, the Number 4 Pennant bowlers also got wet tails when they took on Naranderra in the semi-final of the Zone 8 Number 4 Pennant play-offs on Sunday morning. Our bowlers played very well to win the match and go into the final.
Tom Apps, Rod Cooper, Matt Peisley and Kyle Murray defeated L.Alchin, J.Zak, P.Sheather and D.Hoffman 21 to 16.
Rod James, Graham Murray, Tony Fisher and Chris Hocking defeated R.Ash, R.Donohoe, L.Calderquil and T.Roach 27 to 13.
Terry Ricketts, Shane McKellar, Craig Phillis and Tom Hawkins lost to B.Russell, S.Dunnett, R.Blackshaw and J.Harrison 10 to 24. Aggregate: Harden 58; Naranderra 53.
In the final, we struck the strong Junee side and although we played well in patches, it was not good enough to defeat Junee.

Tom Apps, Rod Cooper, Matt Peisley and Kyle Murray lost to M.Causley, C.Shaw, B.Purse and J.Commins 19 to 28.
Rod James, Graham Murray, Tony Fisher and Chris Hocking lost to B.Fanning, I.Cooper, J.Puttock and M.Holms 8 to 32. Aggregate: Harden 49; Junee 75.
A big thank you to the team managers David Bodell (7’s) and Craig Cooper (4’s), who did an excellent job looking after their teams. Junee now travel to the other end of the state to Pottsville Beach and Ocean Shores for the state finals.
