Under the leadership of president Marg Thornhill, recently returned from the 2018 Regional Conference, Harden Branch has begun an ambitious program of events to raise both funds and awareness of the part CWA plays in supporting rural women and their families.
So far this year there has been a very successful Trash and Treasure Day, Easter card making workshops and a highly successful Daffodil Day Street Stall.
Activities planned over the next few months include:
- June 13 – Luncheon for Harden and Cootamundra Retirement village residents.
- June 15 – fundraising street stall full of home-made goodies.
- July 17 – “Christmas in July’ themed Market Day.
We hope to host The Land Cookery and Craft Day in 2019 and are working towards hosting the next Regional Conference.
At this year’s conference, three of our members, Bodil, Liz and Margaret, made good points for their handicraft at group level with Bodil having her Tatting feature at State level.
