Page pulled out an effortless 42 points to annihilate the field. He had a round that was six shots better than his handicap and was three points better than the next best in the field.
Tied for second and leading off the ball competition were Tam Kennedy and Darrell Cassidy, who both shot very respectable 39 point rounds. Also collecting balls were Peter Steinke and Ron Page who had a tidy 37 points each.
The Bendigo Bank hole in one did not go off, but it was seriously threatened on Saturday. John Brownhill, in what his playing partners claimed was almost a shank, twanged one in the general direction of the green and it came to a stop a mere 75cm from the pin.

David James shot a tidy 32 stableford points around the 24 point, 12-hole format, to record a round eight shots better than his handicap.
Bob Martin and Mike McPake took out second place honours, each with a handsome round of 30 points.
