Mrs Robyn Apps of the Murrumburrah Harden branch and Eleanor Ashton from the hospital, were on hand to collect the award.
“It was very exciting to have made it to the finals,” Mrs Apps said.
“Especially as we were the only volunteer group in the running. We didn’t think we stood a chance.”
The United Hospital Auxiliaries of NSW (UHA) is a group made up of volunteers, who work behind the scenes to improve the experience for patients, by fundraising to provide additional equipment and services to make patients more comfortable during their hospital stay..
“This is really the town’s certificate,” Mrs Apps said.
“Without the support we receive from the Harden Murrumburrah community, we would not be able to achieve what we do.”
