Sharni and Maddie were given the choice of volunteering in eight countries and decided on Samoa, where they will be billeted with a Samoan family for two weeks, assisting local children with basic numeracy and literacy.
Volunteering is not cheap and will cost the girls approximately nine thousand dollars between them. They will be running a fundraising event in early December to help get the money together.
‘I am as proud as punch the girls are giving back to those less fortunate.” Maddie’s dad Matt Peisley said. “It will be a great experience for them.”
