Better positional play from captain Deklan Friend saw him score three excellent tries and when Hamish Kennedy scored of the back of some hard-straight runs from Ethan Abnett and Tarell Karaitian-Halls the BushHawks hit the lead.
Even with Bailey McKinnon, Billy Fogg and Harry McMahon executing some great try saving tackles the Kangaroos managed to put on five unanswered tries before Angus Whybrow took off down the sideline to score in the corner on the bell Kangaroos winning 32-20.

AFTER an early start in the 11 years’ league tag Paul Shea Electrical prepared for a big game against the Kangaroos. Coach Cara's plan were to concentrate on defence. The game started well for Harden with Georgia Squire-Wilson succeeding in a try.
The game continued with the girls attacking well with two tries each to Zarlie Quinn and Shania McKinnon who were both in good form and one try to ever reliable Heidi O'Connor. Amelia Rowan successfully converted after one of the tries. Unfortunately, our defence was all over the place and this allowed the Kangaroos too many opportunities to score. Final score was 26 to 16 for a Bushhawks win.

BROWN Farming, Piesley Transport and Coopers Butchery under 14s had a great start with two early tries to Anthony Brown and Joie Whybrow to race to a 10-0 lead, but a lack of possession and some penalties saw Kangaroos claw back to 10-6 at the break.
A see-sawing start to the second half and some great defence by Darcy Fogg and Josh De Mont saw the side score two well-earned tries to Joie Whybrow and James Collins, the boys then raced to a 20-6 lead, a late try on the hooter saw the scoreline finish 20-12 for a hard earned two points. The boys will now prepare for a grand final replay against Young this Saturday at Boorowa.

ON BEHALF of HMJRL we would like to extend our thanks for all the volunteers that made our rep day on Sunday such a success. It was also pleasing to see so many of our junior boys and girls lending a hand whether it was setting and packing up, manning the gates, selling raffle tickets, running lines or being ball boys no job was to big or to small for them.
We had plenty of visitors from out of town some of these guys made mention that they had been making the trip for decades and that they have never seen the Town and McLean Oval look better.
