Two singles matches were played last Saturday, where Terry Ricketts defeated Chris Hocking with a score of 31 to 11. Terry was much too experienced for Chris, who tried hard but was never in it.
Alan Tobin defeated Maurice Muller with a score of 31 to 18. Alan got away to a big lead on Maurice early in the game and although Maurice made up some ground later in the match, he never looked likely to run Alan down.
Ladies Pennant versus Young at Young
Ann Larsen, Joan Clark, Dianne Debritt and Lisa Nicholls defeated Judy Watson, Sheila Traynor , Nancy Tomlinson and Leonie Martin with a score of 23 to 17.
Jenny Ricketts, Donna Chesworth, Chris Hancock and Pat Walker defeated Julie Alovodine, Margaret Glasheen, Jill Rosen and Jenny Holt with a score of 21 to 20.
I believe Jennifer played a screamer to take the Young shot bowl out to win by 1 against the Young side. The Ladies will play Boorowa/Grenfell on Saturday and it is a must win for the girls to stay in contention for the Pennant. Teams are as follows:
Ann Larsen, Joan Clark, Dianne Debritt and Lisa Nicholls.
Jenny Ricketts, Donna Chesworth, Chris Hancock and Pat Walker.
