Local photographer Richard Glover has seen plenty of rugby league action over the years, so it must be something special when he calls a match, “One of the most gripping games I have seen at this level for years.”

Perhaps it was only fitting then that both teams should walk away with a share of the points as the Gooloogong Cowboys hosted the Binalong Brahmans on Ted Thompson Oval today.
The hosts got off to a flying start with two quick tries in the first 10 minutes to have Brahmans down 12-0.
Binalong rallied and struck back though, scoring three tries before half time to go into the break leading 12-14.
The Cowboys returned fire in the second half with two converted tries.
The Brahmans were not helped by a 10-minute stint in the sin bin for Chris Rawlinson, booked for dissent.
Guy Sherrett was very busy at dummy half all day and here left his trademark on the game, clawing one back.
Even with the conversion though Binalong were down 22-20 with 10 minutes to go.
A titanic struggle followed until the Cowboys gave away a penalty directly in front and, 30 out with 90 seconds on the clock, Rawlinson took no chances with the kick.
Final score: 22-22.
Binalong rep players Tony Worthy, Andrew Swaffield and Ben Potts were again strong, whilst Dylan Arabin and Andrew Stadtmiller also had good games.
Gooloogong's big forward pack made life difficult all day and proved the first real test for Binalong’s famous defence.
Binalong try scorers: D.Poidevin, C.Irwin, C. Rawlinson and G.Sherrett. Rawlinson three goals.
