Reminiscing over those past years made for an enjoyable and at times hilarious get together. Another date has all ready been scheduled for next year.

The Country Women’s Association held their meeting in the Memorial Hall last Tuesday and will now continue on monthly until the winter break in 2015. New members are always welcome.

This weekend, October 25 and 26, the ‘crafters and stitches’ group is holding their big weekend at the Monastery to show their wares with many articles on display. An open invitation is there for anyone to go and have a look at their accomplishments.

Also this Sunday, October 26, a reminder that the cricket match against West Wyalong will take place at the oval to break in the new synthetic wicket starting at 10.30am. Interested persons can still get a game so just turn up on Sunday.

Glenda’s cottage garden tips for this week: spread crushed coffee beans to control ear wigs, snails and millipedes; mix sea salt with water and place in holes when transplanting seedlings; oven spray will keep secateurs and pruning saws free from rust, and after cutting celery stems from the base plant the base in a tub of soil and it will rejuvenate.
