Every year, the Student Representative Council (SRC) coordinate several events and fundraisers to support various charities as well as the school.
The walkathon aims to raise funds of which 100 per cent is reinvested in the school.
Previous walkathons have enabled the SRC to purchase a fridge for every classroom, a digital camera for each class, sporting equipment and a range of other resources.
This year, the day was held on Friday, September 13, and to honour the superstitious date, the theme chosen by the SRC was Hocus Pocus. Students, staff and parents dressed up in a range of scary costumes and enjoyed both the walkathon itself and the sausage sizzle and disco that followed.
Congratulations and thank you to the families of MPS on raising well over $1500. Each child and class will greatly benefit from your generosity.
