The Liberal National Party alleges Ms Trad interfered with the independent recruitment process for the role of under treasurer while she was treasurer in 2019.

It wants the CCC to investigate.

"Additionally, I request that the (CCC) does not devolve this matter back to the Department of Premier and Cabinet or the Public Service Commission," shadow treasurer Tim Mander wrote in a letter to CCC chair Alan MacSporran QC.

He claimed in parliament on Wednesday Ms Trad interfered to have Frankie Carroll appointed as under treasurer after an independent panel had chosen former Commonwealth Bank executive Leon Allen.

"A whistleblower has advised that the independent selection panel chaired by the director-general of Premier and Cabinet had recommended Leon Allen for the role of under treasurer," Mr Mander said in parliament.

"However, the member for South Brisbane intervened to ensure Frankie Carroll was appointed.

"Will the Premier immediately release the original selection panel's report so that Queenslanders can know the truth?"

Ms Trad told the ABC that the LNP has an "unhealthy obsession" with her and should focus on doing their job.

"I've been to the CCC twice and I've been cleared twice," Ms Trad told ABC radio on Thursday.

"The LNP have got what I think is a very unhealthy obsession with me and, quite frankly, I think they just need to focus on doing their actual job which is putting up alternative policies for the state of Queensland."

Ms Trad was referred to the Crime and Corruption Commission in 2019 over an investment property, and again last year over her involvement in the selection of a school principal in her South Brisbane seat.

She repeatedly denied wrongdoing but stepped down from her cabinet responsibilities in May.

The MP was cleared of criminal wrongdoing on both occasions but was criticised for her actions.
