A district school has conducted a survey of parents that has revealed parents were overwhelming positive regarding their children learning from home during school lock-downs.

The survey conducted by Murrumburrah Public School invited families to give feedback relating to the learning from home period of schooling which commenced towards the end of Term 1 and continued until Week 5 of Term 2.
"The results of the survey have been overwhelmingly positive with 84% of parents who completed the survey feeling that teachers were very responsive to any questions or concerns parents had during this time," the school said.
Communication between the school and parents scored highly, parents felt learning tasks were appropriate and also felt confident to support their children at home, the survey also revealed.
"In terms of the communication between school and home, 76% indicated that that this communication was very consistent with a further 17.8% stating that communication was mostly consistent," the school said.
"When considering whether learning tasks were appropriate to your child's learning ability, 71% of parents strongly agreed that tasks were suited to your child's level of skill.
"Generally, parents felt confident to support your child's learning needs given the communication of the teachers, with 58% of parents feeling very confident."
The parents surveyed also gave the Class Dojo system a tick of approval with 76% of parents strongly agreeing that Class Dojo helped parents to support their child's learning from home.
"Many parents also gave written feedback relating to this period of learning, with comments being overwhelmingly positive and ranging from the fantastic job teachers did during this time, to the online set up being very effective and easy to understand," the school said.
