Plans for the new club, which are stage 2 of the development, are currently with Hilltops Shire Council.
Stage 1 is the relocation of the tennis courts to a site east of the existing Country Club House.
The stage currently before Hilltops is for provision of a new Country Club building over the site of the current Squash Courts and behind, keeping the current Country Club Rooms until the new building is occupied.
Upon occupation of the new building, the former Club will be demolished and the green space, landscaping, paths, roads and linkages around the newer developments completed.
The works would be staged to accommodate continued operations of the site and this will necessitate adjustments to the home holes on the golf course as a result, both in the short and longer terms.
Once completed (if approval is granted) the principal building will be of single and part two storey construction, making use of the slope and site features, whilst still presenting to the adjacent streetscape as a single storey building.
"The vast majority of public use and activity will occur upstairs with a general bar, gaming bar, lounge terraced covered area, bbq areas, a restaurant all being able to be multi-use for a function for the Town," it is stated in the Statement of Environmental Effects presented to Hilltops.
"The adjacent green spaces will be ideal for children's areas and for event days for members," the SEE said.
"The lower storey will have players ablutions/change rooms, various store room and waste areas and accessibility to upstairs via both a passenger lift and also various sets of stairs."
