Lynn Wall of Benmore Road was one resident who had to deal with the aftermath of the storm front which crossed the state over the weekend.
"No one has ever seen it flood here in their knowledge of local history in 100 years and yesterday I flooded again except the road wasn't cut this time thank goodness," Lynn said on Tuesday.
"I am on Benmore Rd so its quite high here, it shouldn't have flooded at all so something has changed in last 12 months for it to happen twice with a very heavy downpour.
"Usually the thunderstorms split and go around me, well I copped this one well and truly," she said.
Harden SES unit commander Malcolm Edwards said the local unit was called out to five jobs resulting from the storms.
On two of the jobs, involving fallen trees, Mr Edwards said the unit worked alongside Hilltops Council. One of the jobs involved a tree which had fallen behind the old Carrington Pub.
In another job the SES worked alongside Fire and Rescue NSW to help unblock a drain behind IGA's delivery area.
Once the drain was cleared Mr Edwards said the SES worked to remove rubbish which had caused the blockage.
Another call out, he said, was to deal with a sheet of iron which had blown off the roof at the Harden Country Club. Due to the dangerous conditions it was referred to and repaired by a private contractor. The final call out was to a job at Jugiong.
