People flocked to the park early on Sunday morning to enjoy the barbecue breakfast, socialising, catching up on the beautiful ground and soaking up plenty of musical entertainment from both musicians and the birds.
Musical trio, "The Three Amigos" - Lee, Oscar and Greg sang the Aussie classics Have a Beer With Duncan, Click Go The Shears, I Am Australian and Home Among The Gumtrees before local performers Davud Moorby, Nick Natitch and Zack Summer entertained with Wild Colonial Boy, Guardian Angel and other classic and folk songs before the main celebration got under way.
Hilltops Councillor Rita O'Connor welcomed everyone before presenting Harden-Murrumburrah's Australia Day Ambassador for 2020, Pierre Issa, the founder of the Pepe Saya Butter Company.
Mr Issa and his wife Melissa travelled from Alexandria in Sydney to Harden on Saturday to attend the event on Sunday morning, enjoying themselves thoroughly after attending the Ambassador's Dinner on the Saturday night.
Mr Issa was presented with an Ambassador's badge by Mrs O'Connor before he took to the microphone.
"I've just got to say how priviliged and what an honour it is to be here on Australia Day," Mr Issa said.
The trip to Harden was Mr Issa's fifth Australia Day ambassadorship having previously also been an ambassador at Campbelltown, Ingleburn, Newcastle, Blayney and Picton.
"It's always interesting," Mr Issa said.
Mr Issa explained how it came about that he'd become an Australia Day ambassador.
"I'm a very proud Australian," he said.
"I sort of thought that someone in their (the Australia Day Council) office must have a love of butter and they sort of chose me."
Mr Issa said when he got the call asking him if he'd like to go to Harden he said yes.
"When I got the call 'would you like to go to Harden?' in October last year I thought oh, that sounds wonderful.
"I've never been to Harden. I've been to Young but never to Harden, maybe I came through Harden to get to Young, I'm not sure.
"It's very exciting for my wife and I, we get to go around and see parts of Australia and have a cultural experience that we think is absolutely amazing."
Mr Issa turned his love of butter into a leading Australian butter producer.
Pepe Saya commits to using local suppliers and providing a paddock to plate experience.
Pepe Saya differentiate themselves as their butter masters churn by hand 10,000 litres of milk in a week to create not only cultured butter but creme fraiche, butter milk, marscarpone, ghee and truffle butter products.
Mrs O'Connor said she had even received a call from her son who said he wished he could attend as his work only uses Pepe Saya butters.
