The major final was a replay of last year's final between Damien Miller and John Harriett which Damien won it was a great final with both bowlers in top form.
There was never more than a couple of shots difference between the two players over the first 12 ends with Damien leading 10/9, however over the next four ends Damien was to get away from John when he scored eight shots to John's one to lead 18/10.
Damien was to maintain his lead right up until the 30 seconds end when disaster struck for Damien when John won three ends on the trot picking up seven shots to lead Damien 30/26 needing one shot to win.
Damien scored one shot to make it 30/27 and was still in with a chance. John got his revenge for last year's defeat when he picked up the one shot needed for an excellent 31/27 win.
Major final
Matt Peisley defeated Shane Foote 31/29 another great game of bowls with little on it right throughout the match. Matt took an early lead and was never headed although the scores were level on a couple of occasions.
Late in the match where Matt had established an eight shot lead 28/20 and looked as though he would go on to a comfortable win, however Shane fought back strongly to pick up five shots to one to trail 29/25.
Matt made it 30/25 when he scored one shot. Needing one shot to win Shane made it very interesting when he scored four shots to trail by one shot.
Matt put Shane away when he scored the one shot for the win.
