Hannah Quinn, 25, and Blake Davis, 30, appeared briefly in the Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday and will again appear in court on December 6 where they are expected to enter pleas.

The pair are accused of murdering Jett McKee after a botched home invasion attempt at their Forest Lodge flat in August 2018.

It has been alleged that Mr McKee burst into their granny flat armed with a fake gun, demanding money before Quinn and Davis, a TAFE student, chased him down the street.

Police have alleged that Mr McKee was killed in broad daylight after being chased down by the couple.

Quinn is alleged to have flung him to the ground before Davis struck Mr McKee with a blow to the head with a samurai sword.

Mr McKee is alleged to have burst into their home with a balaclava covering his face and carrying a replica gun, knuckledusters and pepper spray.

It's alleged that Mr McKee punched Davis in the face with knuckledusters and after demanding money, he fled with Quinn's bag and was pursued by the pair.

After Mr Mr McKee's body was discovered in the middle of the road on the corner of Hereford and Minogue Crescents on Friday August 10, 2018, Quinn and Davis handed themselves in to police three days later.

The pair have both been granted bail to live in the Blue Mountains.

Davis will appear in court on November 28 for a bail variation hearing.
