Emma and Sarah, who are 14 and 12, exhibit their beasts under the umbrella of the Murrumburrah High School Farm Club, under the supervision of Jan Young and Marg Campbell.
"There were 106 entries in the Junior Paraders class, from towns including Yanco, Wagga and Yass." Ms Campbell said.
"Sarah competed in the U15 non-qualifying event on Friday, for which there were 50 to 60 kids entered. She won her age heat."
Sarah and Emma both handle beasts belonging to Marg Campbell.
"We headed over to Cootamundra very early in the morning with Marg and the animals." Sarah said
"It was really exciting to be there and competing against so many other people."
Older sister Emma, 14, attends Hennessy Catholic College, but loves catching up with her friends at Murrumburrah High School.
"Emma took part in the Qualifiers event, where she went through five heats of maybe 20 entrants." Ms Campbell said.
"She was then chosen as one of ten state finalists before winning the State Final, and will go on to compete in the Sydney Royal Show next year."
Murrumburrah High School Farm Club racked up a very respectable tally against all other schools competing at the Show.
"When they announced the tally for all the schools entered, Murrumburrah High won the most points." Ms Campbell said.
"For such a small school and club, that is a wonderful result."
Emma and Sarah are very grateful to everyone who has helped them prepare for these events.
"We both want to thank Marg Campbell, for letting us show her animals and helping us train and get ready." Sarah said.
