Fullers Transport of Harden sponsored the event, and the club thanks Ron for his continued support which is appreciated by all golfers.

Beveridge wore the clothes of a much younger man when he last shot a 63 nett around Harden.

His round was eight whole shots better than his handicap and, on nett, three shots better than his nearest rival.

This secured Beveridge the B Grade Medal, the Fullers Transport Trophy and a shiny new handicap for next weekend. A great round.

The A Grade medal went to Darrell Cassidy with a tidy par round for a 71, which was just enough to take the silverware from Kevin Hoppe on a countback. However, Hoppe snagged best scratch round for the premium ball.

The B Grade scratch round went to the burglar lying in wait, Tam Kennedy who was only two shots back of the A scratch score with an 81.

Balls on the day went to the B Grade second and third placegetters Kennedy (66 nett) and Craig Henman (67 nett) in a reduced field due to the Kite Festival.

The Bendigo Bank hole in one did not go off. However, as one of the winners of this sponsorship already this year, Henman showed he is serious for more with a sweet shot into 1.04m to claim the ball for the day.

The random card draw for the day went to a man who will now be ruled a professional and thus be eliminated for the remainder of the year. Peter Steinke has had his number come up two months in a row and will have a super-full garage fridge at this point, thereby allowing others to benefit for November and December.

The ladies will be playing a stroke event for the postponed trophy to be sponsored by Jeanette Elliott.

Men will be playing the Medal of Medals and a stroke event for a club trophy.

Contenders for the former part of this weekend's event include Bernie Parker, Brian Wales, Darrell Cassidy, John Hawkins, Kevin Hoppe, Mark Parker, Peter Steinke, Robert Bates, Tam Kennedy, Tim Beveridge and Ron Kerr. The daily event is open to all men.
