Fashion Parade at the Anglican Church
On Thursday, October 10, the Anglican Church Op Shop will be holding their Spring/Summer fashion extravaganza, with models of all shapes, sizes and ages modelling their wide range of 'pre-loved' clothing. The parade starts at 10.30am at St Paul's Church on Albury Street, and will be followed by a delicious, free homemade Devonshire tea.
Kids Kite Flying at Roberts Park
To get the whole family in the mood for the Harden Kite Festival, come on down to Roberts Park on Friday, October 11 for a family afternoon of fun and entertainment.
Bring your own kite, or make your own on this afternoon, there will be professionals on hand to teach the tricks and intricacies of kite making and flying. Everyone will get a chance to fly a kite on this afternoon.
There will be relays, races and paper aeroplane events and some great prizes donated by Harden IGA, along with lolly bags and fruit bags. Entry to this fantastic and fun afternoon is free!
Harden Kite Festival
The main event! Marvel at the spectacle of the big kites or fly your own at this year's Harden Kite Festival to be held at the Harden Racecourse this Saturday, October 12.
This is the 14th year of the event which promises major kite displays, kite decorating and kit flying for children and adults. Entry by donation.
Festival of Art Exhibition and sale
The Harden Murrumburrah Arts Council Inc present the 27th Annual Festival of Art Exhibition and Sale at the Old Courthouse in Murrumburrah.
Opening night is Friday, October 18, commencing at 8 pm. Entry is $5, which includes supper. The Exhibition will be held over two weekends. Please turn to page 2 for more information on this event.
Handmade in Harden, Murrumburrah Community Markets
Our favourite local markets will go ahead on Sunday, October 20, from 9am to 2pm. Come and have a look at the exciting stalls, which for October will also be across the road in the grounds of Whichcraft.
Long Table Lunch
You are invited to the beautiful garden of Ann and Alf Witty, at 165 Barwang Road, Harden to enjoy their Long Table Lunch on Saturday, October 26, commencing at 12 noon.
Entry to the garden alone is $5, afternoon tea is $5 and lunch is $20. All proceeds will go to St Paul's Anglican Church
