The ground-breaking jackpot comes after no players held a division one winning entry in Thursday night's Powerball draw (September 12), prompting the game to roll higher for the eighth consecutive week.
While no entries scored the division one prize, a total of 2,760,732 prizes worth more than $50.23million were won in divisions two to nine.
Among these winners, there were eight division two winners, who each take home a prize of $173,767.85. These winners were just one number shy of taking home the multi-million dollar prize.

The Lott spokeswoman Bronwyn Spencer said 2019 continued to be a record-breaking year for Australian lotteries with Powerball venturing into unexplored territory once again.
"Never before has there been such a strong sequence of high Powerball jackpots like the one we've witnessed during the past 12 months," she said.
"It wasn't that long ago in August 2018, that we saw an Australian lottery record set when Powerball offered $100million for the first time in the game's history," she said.
"Then in January, we saw another record blown away when one Sydney woman took home the entire division one prize pool of the mind-blowing $107million Powerball jackpot.
"Just six months later we saw Powerball reach a new high of $110million in July, which was shared by three division one winning entries who took home $36.6 million each.
"Who would have known just months later this record would be surpassed again by next Thursday's $150million offer."
Ms Spencer said next week's draw could be historic in more ways than one.
"If one single entry takes home the entire $150million jackpot next week, needless to say, it would be the biggest Australian lottery prize ever won by a single entry," she explained.
"This would surpass the previous record by a mind-blowing $43million.
"The current record for the biggest individual lottery win is held by a Sydney woman, who won more than $107million in Powerball in January this year."
The numbers drawn in Powerball draw 1217 on Thursday 12 September 2019 were 27, 28, 10, 20, 11, 30, 31. The all-important Powerball number was 2.
The $150million Powerball draw 1218 will take place on Thursday, September 19.
