In recent years it has been mum and son victorious at this gruelling format of the game - two days of your hit, my hit with nowhere to hide.
This year, however, in a return to their long forged partnership, husband and wife team of Peter and Jeanette Elliott re-formed to prove they still have the goods.
Shooting 84 and 85 off the stick both days gave them a total four shots better than second-place Pat Walker and Darrell Cassidy, and eight shots better than day one second place holders Toni and Craig Filmer.
Peter and Jeanette have been doing this for too many years and their well-worn combination stood the test of time to capture the bikkies.
In the Nett Division, all kudos goes to a crippled Ron Page and first-timer Jacque Solah who also played below their handicaps for the weekend to record the "after handicap" section.
Ron and Jacque shot 65 / 72 nett for their two rounds to bring home a result five better than their combined handicap for the weekend.
Well done Jacque for carrying him.
Day one winners were Jacque and Ron, with that magic 65 nett.
Day two winners were Herb and Marj Manwaring, with a 68 nett.
Not happy blowing five shots off his handicap last week, Grahame Taylor has come out and done it again by the same amount.
Taylor takes midweek ... again
Grahame Taylor has made it two weeks in a row.
Not happy blowing five shots off his handicap last week, he has come out and done it again by the same amount.
Grahame has shot 29 points around the 12 hole layout, with 24 points reserved for a par round.
Grahame will now be down to 10 handicap on resumption this week.
Second place, and also habit forming as bridesmaid, was Peter Steinke two shots back on 27 points.
Bringing in third was David James and Ron Kerr who also played better than handicap at 25 points.
The random lucky mystery ball winner was Bill Kildea.
