14 year old Tyra, who is the daughter of Mark Cooper, was selected to play for the Under 14's NSW Metro team. She has played outdoor cricket for a few years, but this was the first time she had tried out for Indoor Cricket.
"The Under 14's Girl's division only started three years ago." Tyra said
"This is the first year the team made it to the Grand Final, and three players hadn't played at this level before, so we did pretty well."
'Pretty well' is an understatement; New South Wales Metro Girls Under 14's only lost one of their rostered matches across this weeks competition at Casey Stadium,
"We lost the Grand Final to the Victoria Blue team, with a score 0f 100 to 97, it was a pretty close match." Tyra said.
