"Swing is a dance style that I have never attempted, so it is a fun challenge." Mrs Fairfield-Smith said.
" I love entertaining, I did ballet as a child and a lot of musical theatre. You could say it runs in the family. As a nurse, I can see first-hand, the value to these families and the difference Can Assist makes."
"I am always up for a challenge!"
Mr Jamieson said that he has volunteered in the past with singing for events, but dancing is a challenge on a new level.
"It is a challenge I am enjoying though," Mr Jamieson said.
"The cause; Can Assist is the reason I said yes. I was born and bred in Harden, have lived here all my life, and I don't know a family that hasn't been touched by cancer."
"Huge amounts of money are needed for research to beat this disease, so , whatever i can do, I will."
The seven couples who are taking part in 'Dancing with the Locals' are judged not only on their dance moves, but by the amount of money they raise for Can Assist. Get behind your favourite couple by dropping some money into their donation boxes:

Dancing with the Locals will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17. Tickets are sold out for the Saturday night, but are available for the Friday evening from Cooper's Choice Cut Butchery. Come on down and show your support for our local dancers and a great cause.
