Maddie (16), and Sam (14) were selected for the Combined High Schools Open Girls Riverina (up to Year 12) team, where teams from all over the state compete in a four day event.
Younger sister Jade, at only 13, also trialled for the team and impressed the coaches and was asked to shadow the team due to her age and small stature. She then received a phone call the night before the event, asking her to play with the team.
"When Mum told me that I had been asked to play, my heart was filled with joy and excitement." Jade said. "It was really fun getting to play with my sisters in one team. You don't see that often, do you? We had an amazing time and because we already knew each other's strengths and weaknesses, it made it easier to read the play of the game."

Big sisters Maddie and Sam agreed.
"There's nothing quite like playing alongside your siblings, seeing them give 100% to every touch of the ball." Maddie said. "I'm one proud big sister."
Youngest of the girls, Brooke, at age 11, was selected to play at the Primary School Sports Association Riverina Team, also a four day event.
"It was such a privilege to be selected and get to be co-captain of our Riverina side." Brooke said. "What a great experience."
The girls work hard for this 'privilege', the older three traveling to Wagga as often as three times per week for the Wagga Wanderers, with travel time of three hours added to each training session, while maintaining their school work. Well done Maddie, Sam, Jade and Brooke!
